Thank God it's Tuesday!

Hurrah! It's Tuesday again, our favourite day of the week. That's because we have an excuse to get in the kitchen and try something new for Cooking Tuesday. This week we were tempted by one of the recipes from our delightful new cookbook 'The Hummingbird Bakery - Cake Days' which we won in a game of cards (no joke). Even though they all look super delicious we decided on a recipe from the Summer Afternoon Tea section to go with the setting evening sun. So this week we baked: Earl Grey Tea Cupcakes, and my gosh they are delicious (Kate is on her 5th as I type). We are off to a book crit tomorrow so will be taking a few along as a little thank-you. Lets hope our book goes down better than the cakes though! Stay tuned for more Cooking Tuesday bakings from this great new book.. we're thinking Mojito Mini Cupcakes are next!

Easter

So it is Easter. Even though we are not 'employed' we have still been having a little break. Seeing the family and some of the sights London has to offer. One of those was visiting St. Pauls Cathedral and above are views from the top. If you ever have a free day and spare £14.50 it is definitely worth a visit. Although we are not religious it is an amazing building and as you can see on a clear day the views are spectacular, be prepared for a few steps to climb though.

Outside Office

We have often wondered where we work best, Anna even conducted a 'scientific' experiment as part of her final year at university to try and find the answer. Today, in fact most of the week, we have been working outside in Kate's garden in the lovely Chiswick. The sun has been shining and we are making the most of it while we are working hard on our portfolio. But has it been productive? Well yes, we believe so. The sun is a great motivator and keeps our positive attitudes topped up. Of course we are slapping on the sun cream and drinking plenty of water, got to stay safe!

Summer is here

If you are not already aware we love to cook, especially on Tuesdays. So a few years (gosh that's scary to admit) we started a project called Cooking Tuesday, where each Tuesday we cook something we have never attempted before.

This week to go along with the delightful weather we have been having we decided on a summer bbq theme. Fresh Houmous with delicious Portuguese Chicken and Potato Salad (all home-made of course). We can confirm it was all yummy and we will be making it again and again over summer.
